THE EXISTENCE OF A BRIDGE, AN ATTEMPT AT REDEMPTION
You have certainly heard of a bridge, that is, the Sirat Bridge, over which you will cross. It is a seduction. It is not written anywhere in the Quran. It has no basis because Muhammad himself never mentioned it. And if it really existed, which verse in the Quran speaks of this bridge? In Surah 6:38, it is written that Allah has not omitted to write anything in the Quran. The fact that such an important bridge does not appear in the Quran is proof of its invention to appease the worries of Muslims. If Abdullah Ben Abi Rawaha and Abu Maysara had heard from Muhammad that there was a bridge, they would not have constantly cried about going to Hell. On the contrary, this bridge would have been a source of consolation for them because they had deployed all their zeal for the cause of Islam. But when we dig a little deeper, we see clearly in the Tafsir that it was Abdullah Ben Mas’ud who, seeking to appease the conscience of Muslims, spoke for the first time of this bridge. The irony is that in seeking to resolve this problem, Abdullah bin Mas’ud created other problems.
First, the bridge is said to be in the afterlife. One wonders, then, how did he know this? And if it was Allah who revealed it to him, that means that Abdullah bin Mas’ud receives revelations from Allah, and therefore Muhammad is no longer the final prophet; which contradicts the Quran, because the Quran states that Muhammad is the final prophet.
Secondly, if he says that it was Allah who revealed it to Muhammad and that he heard it, then this is proof that they removed some of the things revealed to Muhammad from the Quran.
Thirdly, Surah 3 :185 said that no Muslim can know his final fate until the Day of Resurrection. However, according to Abdullah bin Mas’ud, some Muslims will cross this bridge at a speed of lightning to enter Paradise. If Abdullah bin Mas’ud’s theory is true, then Surah 3 :185 is false because it implies that some Muslims will know their final fate before the Day of Resurrection.
Fourthly, where are the pious Muslims who have died now? One thing is certain: they are everywhere, except in Paradise, according to Surah 3 :185. One then wonders, “So where are they?” What is certain is that after death, the soul goes somewhere; and according to the Quran it is the darkness of hell. One of the proofs that Muhammad was talking about hell and not the Sirat Bridge after the death of every Muslim is that when you take Sahih Bukhari Volume 1 hadith No. 44 narrated by Anas ibn Malik we read “The Prophet (SAW) said: Whoever declares that there is no God but Allah and whose heart contains the weight of a barley grain of good, will come out of hell; whoever declares that there is no God but Allah and whose heart contains the weight of a wheat grain of good will come out of hell; finally, whoever declares that there is no God but Allah and whose heart contains the weight of an atom of good will come out of hell.” It is therefore clear that according to Muhammad and his teachings, the first destination of all Muslims after his death is hell until the Day of Resurrection. So this is what we see when we consult the Quran and the Sunnah regarding the salvation of Muhammad and the salvation of those who follow him.
When we open the Bible, we see that Jesus Christ was presented as the only Savior. In John 8 :14 it is written Jesus answered them “Although I bear witness of myself, my testimony is true because I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from and where I am going.” In John 16 :28, he specifies where he comes from and where he is going. It is written “I came from the Father and came into the world, now I leave the world and go to the Father.” Why leave the one who has ascended to God and follow the one who does not know what God will do with him?
JESUS CHRIST IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Jesus Christ is the light of the world and He came so that after your death, you would not walk in the darkness of hell. That is why he says in John 8 :12 : Jesus spoke to them again and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When you look at Matthew 11 :28-29, it says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and receive my instructions, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” The Bible says in the book of Acts of the Apostles 4v11-12 “Jesus is the stone rejected by you who build but which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” So do not be deceived. Aside Jesus no other name can save you. Listen to his call in John 5v39-40 it is written “You search the scriptures, because in them you think you have eternal life : and they are they which testify of me. And you do not want to come to me that you may have life. » Come to him because he reassures you. In John 6 :37 it is written, “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will in no wise cast out the one who comes to me.” He will not cast you out because he came not to condemn you but to save you from the fires of hell. In John 11 :25-26 it is written, “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even though he were dead. And whoever lives and believes in me will never die.'”
