I am Brother Latif, from the ATAYOTI Allassane family, ex-Muslims. In our house, there was a mosque, and I was a student who recited the Quran up to Surah 36. There were no Christians in the family. Shortly after, I moved to a town called Parakou, where I learned my craft and also read my Arabic-French Quran to better understand what I read in my religion, without any understanding of the content. My entire family was Muslim, and my father enrolled me in a Quranic school to learn to read the book in order to become an Alpha (a person advanced in Islam capable of leading prayers) and lead them in prayer at home. For me, Christians and Muslims worship the same God, since I had friends who were Christians, and each practiced their own religion. I learned the trade of mason and was so zealous in my religion that I built mosques and was proud of myself. It is thanks to the ministry of Brother Bernadin that I met Christ, who did an apologetic study with me and showed me in 2017 in the Koran in its

 Surah 19v 71:72 “There is no one among you who will not pass through Hell,     for it is an irrevocable sentence with your Lord…”

I first reasoned by saying to my brother: many paths lead to Paradise, and I left the church to see my predecessor in religion; perhaps he would be able to explain it to me according to the context. To my great surprise, he had never seen this passage, and knowing that it would make me doubt Islam, he snatched the Quran from me, which I had recently acquired at the time. And not wanting to go to Hell, he left Islam for good. Before my conversion, I had decided to obey the Sunnah by taking a second wife. I found the money for the knowledge of parents; when I received Christ, I immediately put this file away. There is no longer any understanding between friends and relatives. The persecution, as it began at my level, I could not hold out if it was not by the grace of the Lord Jesus because the verbal attacks were too much but I was able to overcome these moments of persecution, I stood firm in Christ because it is He who is the way, the truth and the life and no one can go to heaven without going through Him, I have a guarantee of heaven in Christ which there is not in Islam: this is what I learned from apologetics. The brother’s exhortation allowed me to raise my morale to the highest and I became unshakeable in my new faith. Currently I am among the group of missionaries of the ministry who are on the ground so that the north of Benin is submitted to Jesus through the evangelism that we do in the surrounding towns. The Lord also uses me in deliverances to minister to those who are tormented by evil spirits. Glory to the Lord Jesus.
