WHAT DOES ALLAH MEAN?

Allah is a familiar name to you. But do you know what Allah really means? In fact, Allah simply means god in Arabic. It is not a decent name for a divinity. Any Arab who wants to call the god he worships will simply say Allah. It is the same word that idolaters use to name their god. So when you say Allah, it does not automatically mean that it is God, the creator of heaven and earth that you are invoking. You may be asked which Allah you are talking about. This is what you need to know about the name Allah.

Among the 360 idols that can be found inside the Ka’aba, there was one that was considered the most important, that is, the largest of all the other idols. His name is Hubal. And this was the god that Muhammad’s grandfather worshiped. Muhammad’s grandfather was called Abd al-muttalib. This hubal god had as a symbol the crescent moon resting on a stake. You will still see this symbol of the crescent moon in mosques today. Originally, it was the symbol of the hubal god worshiped by Muhammad’s grandfather Abd al-Muttalib. When you take the biography of Muhammad of ibn Hicham on page 45, it is written “Hubal was an idol worshiped even within the Kaaba, the most important of their pantheon”. The biography of Muhammad is a book of the sunnah studied in major Islamic universities around the world such as the al-aqza university in Cair. Be well informed.
